There’s been an online surge of manly guidance in recent years. Fellows in sleek suits and trimmed beards praise the virtue of traditional masculinity. Confidence, discipline, dominance. Economic prowess, sexual boldness. A primal standard that the modern man should reconnect with and emulate.
If these guidelines appeal to you, men, go for it. There’s value in them. But if they don’t feel right, that’s fine too. Guy-gurus are good at making you feel like you desperately need their advice, lest you live your life as a not-fully-realized man. But their path is just one of several. Manhood takes many forms. The bearded face in the Youtube window might have answers for you, or he might not.
Do what feels right for you. What could be manlier than that?
